The first quarter was scoreless, and each team punted twice. Shawn Hurst, who had rushed for more than 100 yards in the Aug. 29 loss to Montoursville, fumbled on a Bryant Trautman blitz. Drew Kuhns picked the ball up at the 3 and scored. The extra point was wide, and it was 6-0 with 11:53 left in the half. Selinsgrove's first offensive touchdown came with 45 seconds left in the third, a 12-yard pass from Cory Briggs to Ryan Keiser after Keiser returned a punt 33 yards to the Mifflinburg 26. Briggs had thrown for 72 yards in the first half and been sacked twice. Selinsgrove rushed for 2 yards before halftime and 129 after it. A 10-play, 80-yard drive in the fourth, 4:41 and almost entirely on the ground, ended with Trautman's 1-yard run with 8:06 left. Briggs hit Kyle Reinard for the two-point conversion, and it was 20-0.
