The team site lists PHAC 2011 as a championship, and the district history calls the year PHAC Division I champions. The coaching-records line is 8-3, with a 6-0 division record and a 7-1 league record.

The division slate was shutout-heavy: 24-0 at Danville, 19-0 at Jersey Shore, 23-0 over Central Columbia, and 19-0 over Selinsgrove, plus wins over Shamokin, Shikellamy, and Milton. Athens won 21-20 on Oct. 21. Bloomsburg then won the home playoff game, 48-21. Mid-State Sports Network's account of the first week of those playoffs lists the game in Class AA, Bloomsburg 48, Mifflinburg 21.

Shawn Weller's EasternPAFootball account of Nov. 4 has Lewisburg winning the Little Brown Jug game 28-9 at home. Mifflinburg came in at 8-1 and Lewisburg at 7-2. Weller wrote that both finished the regular season at 8-2, and he called the Athens loss the week before an overtime game. Caleb Saffell intercepted a pass with 9:51 left in the first quarter, and Lewisburg's first drive covered 29 yards. Brandon Smith scored on a 13-yard reverse. The two-point try failed. Saffell then recovered a fumble. Merle Moscarello ran 20 yards on that drive and scored from the 1, and a toss to Smith made it 14-0. After a short punt, Moscarello scored again. Kyle Failor answered from the 1 at the end of a 13-play, 63-yard drive, and the half was 21-7. In the second half a low snap from Lewisburg's end zone put the punter's knee on the ground for a safety. Cam Cassels hit Jared Laino for 57 yards to the 2, and Laino scored from the 1. A fumbled punt snap and a fumbled exchange left Mifflinburg at its own 4, and Laino intercepted Failor. Weller had Mifflinburg at 150 yards, 89 of them on 35 rushes and 61 on 7 of 16 passes, and Lewisburg at 229, with 145 rushing yards and all four touchdowns on the ground. He also wrote that the teams were flagged 17 times for more than 100 yards.

Penn State's 2014 bio for Mike Wiand says the Heartland Athletic Conference I title came in his junior season, and that he was a three-time first-team all-conference linebacker. MaxPreps lists Michael Wiand as a junior on the 2011-12 roster.

Jordan Clark's EasternPAFootball account of Oct. 7 has Mifflinburg beating Towanda 14-7 at home. Both offenses went three-and-out on their first two drives. Towanda's fumbled snap on fourth-and-goal gave Mifflinburg the ball at the 7, and the Wildcats scored from there. Towanda tied it before halftime on a 25-yard pass from Trey Sites to Zach Ripic. A long punt return in the fourth quarter set Mifflinburg up at the Towanda 9, and Kyle Failor found Bradee Ruhl for the 9-yard score that made it 14-7. Towanda reached the Mifflinburg 25 and then lost a fumbled snap. Failor ran 12 times for 47 yards and was 5 of 14 with a touchdown and two interceptions. Mike Wiand ran 12 times for 33 yards. Towanda was called for eight penalties and gained 47 yards on 29 carries.
