Mifflinburg Football 2022 Season

The 2022 schedule and the coaching-records table both read 9-3, with a 4-1 division record, an 8-2 league record, and a 6-0 home record. The district history prints 10-2 for the same year. The game log is the 9-3: nine wins and three losses, including both playoff games.

Mifflinburg opened the counted schedule with a 54-0 win over Midd-West and did not lose at home. The regular-season losses were 24-63 at Jersey Shore and 26-29 at Milton. Lewisburg fell 18-13 on Oct. 28. In the playoffs the Wildcats beat Warrior Run 49-13, a team they had already beaten 35-7, and then lost at Loyalsock, 42-69, on Nov. 12.

Chris Masse's Sun-Gazette account of that Nov. 12 District 4 Class AAA semifinal, at Kenneth Robbins Stadium, has the same 69-42 final. Mifflinburg's quarters print 0-14-16-12. The line that adds to 69, 7-21-28-13, is labeled Jersey Shore. Troy Dressler was 18 of 33 for 433 yards, four touchdowns and an interception, and he scored twice on the ground. Chad Martin was 1 of 1 for 40 yards. The team line is 19 completions in 34 throws for 473 yards, 33 carries for 112, 585 total yards, and 19 first downs. Zach Wertman caught four passes for 116 yards, including a 64-yard score. The story says Tyler Gee threw for 341 yards and six touchdowns. Gee's passing line prints 12 of 19 for 341 yards and five touchdowns. Jaylen Andrews caught seven passes for 244 yards and five scores and returned a kickoff 81 yards. Davion Hill rushed 28 times for 261 yards and four touchdowns. The box lists Loyalsock 11-1 and Mifflinburg 9-3.
