The coaching-records line for 2014 is 3-7 under Jason Dressler, 1-5 in the division and 2-7 in the league. The three wins were 32-7 over Danville on Sept. 5, 42-20 at Central Mountain on Oct. 10, and 35-8 over Milton on Oct. 17. No playoff game is marked on the schedule. The year ended with a 6-28 loss at Lewisburg on Oct. 31.

Matt Beltz's Daily Item story, dated Sept. 6, covers the Danville game. The visible lead says Mifflinburg scored on its first four possessions, led 32-0, and won 32-7. Danville's touchdown came off a turnover after that lead was already built. Beltz wrote that four turnovers were the main reason for the loss to Southern Columbia in the opener. The schedule has that opener as a 14-40 home loss on Aug. 29.

William Albright's EasternPAFootball account of Sept. 26 has Jersey Shore winning 41-6 at Thompson Street Stadium. He described Jersey Shore as the defending District IV Class AAA champion, 5-0, and Mifflinburg as 1-4. Shore turned the ball over four times and still pulled away. Mifflinburg's quarters were 0-6-0-0. Jersey Shore's were 6-14-7-14. Trailing 20-0 with three seconds left in the half, Jordan Wagner hit Brian Zimmerman for 52 yards as time ran out. The kick failed. Zimmerman finished with five catches for 119 yards. Wagner was 12 of 29 for 197 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. Mifflinburg ran 25 times for 10 yards. Levi Lorson carried 38 times for 223 yards and a score. Logan English was 8 of 16 for 154 yards and three touchdowns, with two interceptions. Chris Bashaw recovered a blocked punt in the end zone, and Ethan Kutza returned a fumble 19 yards for a score. Derek Leese caught two of the touchdown passes, from 16 and 23 yards.

Albright's account of Oct. 10 at Don Malinak Stadium has both teams entering at 1-5 and Mifflinburg winning 42-20. Logan Bathurst scored from the 4 to open it, and the kick failed. Mifflinburg then scored 35 unanswered. Eric Stroup ran 16 times for 133 yards and scored from the 10 and, in the fourth quarter, from the 3. Jordan Wagner was 3 of 8 for 94 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Brian Zimmerman caught a 53-yard score and returned a fumble 95 yards. Tristan Martin returned a punt 72 yards and caught a 5-yard score. Brayden Pierce ran 14 times for 84 yards. Bryce Bitner then scored from the 1 and from the 5, and the score was 35-20 with a minute left in the third. Mifflinburg's quarters were 7-21-7-7. Central Mountain's were 6-0-14-0. The box lists 14 and 21 first downs, 36 rushes for 250 yards and 68 for 318, and 94 and 106 passing yards. Albright had Mifflinburg at 2-5.
