Mifflinburg Football 1960 Season

Record
3-5-1
League
—

Head coach James Peters. No playoff game is marked on the schedule.

James Peters's 1960 team went 3-5-1 on the coaching-records table. The schedule's three wins were 13-0 over Montgomery, 21-18 at Montoursville, and 38-13 at Lewisburg.

The school district history calls the Lewisburg game the first Mifflinburg win in 15 years of playing them, and the day they brought home the Little Brown Jug. That page prints the score 39-13. The team schedule prints 38-13. The jug page on the team site tells a different origin story: Louise Burry, class of 1944, proposed the jug to chief school administrator W. E. Thomas in 1942-43, and the schools started the competition in 1943-44.
